Design

From the exterior alone, it is evident that the Picanto is a sturdy and reliable vehicle. Highlights of the design include the LED daytime running lights, the tiger-nosed grille that is distinctive of Kia design, and LED combination lights that feature at the rear of the vehicle. Overall a sense of unity is created by these elements, creating a pleasing visual impression.

Inside, the high-quality materials used to form the cabin and upholstery are sure to improve the experience for the driver and all passengers. Multimedia features include an RDS radio and CD player with the ability to play MP3 discs, and a choice between four and six speakers. Vital drive information is broadcast through the onboard trip computer, and electric windows and remote central door locking also feature. The boot has an initial space of 200 litres available for luggage, which can be increased by folding down the rear seats.


Performance

Two petrol engines are available for the Picanto, giving capacity of between 1.0 and 1.2 litres. These give a combined fuel consumption of 38.1mpg, and carbon emissions at 99g/km of CO2.

Specification

Vehicle occupants are protected by the standard inclusion of six airbags, as well as the reinforced nature of the Picanto's body shell. This means that the cage of the car has been made rigid, and will absorb energy in the unlikely event of a collision. Drive safety assist systems include the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), as well as Electronic Stability Control (ESC) for improved vehicle stability on every surface.
