We’re inviting people in Bristol to nominate charities to receive support from our new hi-tech car dealership in the area.
Our new Nissan showroom at Cribbs Causeway is due to open on December 28 and we are looking to work with a charity in the area during 2016.
Simon Newson, our General Manager at the new dealership, explained: “We feel it is extremely important to be involved with the local community so we want to lend our support to a worthy charity and are asking people to submit their nominations.
“People will need to email us to nominate a charity in Bristol that has particularly helped them or a loved one.
“Charity nominations can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. The maximum word count per nomination is 500 words. The nominator’s full name and contact number will also need to be included in the email submission.
“We will then select our favourite nominated charity stories and they will be posted on our social media accounts and the public will be given the chance to vote for the charity they would like to see us support. The charity with the most nominations via social media will be named as our charity of the year for 2016.”
The closing date for nominations to be sent in is Monday, December 28th at 5pm. The chosen charity will be announced in early January 2016.
Simon said: “We will lend support to the charity in any way we can, whether it’s through promoting the work they do on social media or lending a hand at fundraisers and events and hosting our own events.
“The total our six dealerships in the South West and South Wales raised for their charities of the year in 2014 was a fantastic £10,102.36. We can’t wait to get fundraising for a worthy charity in our local area during 2016.”
The new Nissan dealership at Cribbs Causeway represents a huge investment for us as the whole project will cost in the region of £5million. It will also be a centre for electric vehicles and will have three charging points for motorists to use.
Simon added: “Our new site on Hayes Way at Cribbs Causeway, an area that is developing, looks set to be an excellent retail location for us and we’re working hard to have it open and ready for visitors at the end of December.”
