DEWI Tapin from Bristol has this month (June, 2016) been appointed as our new Digital Parts Executive.
In her new position, she will maintain the Wessex Garages’ Parts Online website as well as our eBay and Amazon sites.
The mother-of-two, originally from Jakarta and who works at Wessex Garages’ head office on Pennywell Road in Bristol, said: “I’m delighted to have been given the opportunity to work at such an innovative car company. Wessex is at the forefront of using technology to reach a wider audience and is constantly looking at ways it can improve its customer service.
“Wessex Garages’ online parts websites mean customers no longer have to pop into our dealerships when they are looking for a part for their vehicle. We stock parts for Nissan, Kia, Hyundai, Fiat, Dacia and Renault models.
“My primary function at Wessex Garages is to handle the internet sales. I research the products we have for sale, list them on the appropriate websites as well as drive traffic to our listings. I also market the products, manage sales and invoicing and dispatch the items to our customers.”
Dewi attended the University of Indonesia and studied electronic and telecoms. Her previous employer was Lucent Technologies Indonesia now known as Alcatel-Lucent. She started working there in 1997 as a 5ESS Engineer.
Darren Lakin, Aftersales Director at Wessex Garages, said: “I would like to welcome Dewi to the team at Wessex Garages. This is a relatively new role at the company but we want to push our parts sales online and we are looking forward to what ideas Dewi has to improve this service we currently offer.”
In her spare time Dewi enjoys spending time with her family, as well as cooking, travelling and learning languages.
