GLOUCESTER folk are invited this Saturday (July 23, 2016) to guess how many balloons it takes to fill a Nissan Qashqai to raise money for The Leukaemia & Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC) in Cheltenham.
Our dealership on Mercia Road in Gloucester is hosting the competition on Saturday, July 23 from 10am until 3pm in Tesco’s car park, which is located on St Oswalds Road.
James Bicknell, our General Manager at the dealership, said: “LINC is our chosen charity of the year and we want to raise as much money as we can for them this year. We have linked with Tesco to host this fun balloon competition.
“We are asking for a donation of £1 per person to guess how many balloons are in the Nissan Qashqai and the person who guesses correctly will win a £500 voucher for a photo shoot with Venture Studios in Cheltenham.
“The winner will be announced on Sunday, July 24. If more than one person guesses the correct number, then their names will be put into a hat and one winner will be picked. We hope lots of people get involved and help us raise some much needed funds for LINC.”
The charity supports patients and their families affected by leukaemia, lymphoma and other blood cancers. It is a relatively small charity, which aims to provide financial and psychological support to leukaemia and other cancer patients and their families in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and south Worcestershire.
Most commonly LINC helps with travel expenses for family members to visit their loved ones in hospital but can also help with other expenses such as mortgage payments. As well as this it also helps to make a patients stay more comfortable by funding new reclining chairs, televisions and DVD players at the hospitals.
