Kia achieves more than 20,000 independent reviews on​​

There was great news this week from Kia. It has received more than 20,000 independently verified reviews on their cars, with an uplift being seen in the overall score for the cars from an average of 8.7/10 in 2012 to 9.03/10 in 2015, a steady increase since it started. This is fantastic news!

The positive comments focused on fuel economy, looks, space and value for money. The feedback was very interesting and it’s great to see the overall scores improving over the years. This proves Kia is listening to its customers and we’re proud to be associated with the brand.

With a marketing strapline of ‘you make us make better cars’ the focus for Kia was putting customers at the heart of all communications and by enlisting Reevoo – an independent, unfiltered, unbiased 3rd party company, Kia ensured that visitors to could gain genuine peer reviews on their models.

Kia was the first motoring manufacturer to utilise Reevoo on its site in 2012 and we were also one of the first dealers to also use Reevoo on our website. Great news for us is that currently via Reevoo 93% of our customers would buy from us again.

Kim Wiggins, Digital Marketing Manager at Kia Motors UK Ltd, said: “Research shows that ‘peer-on-peer’ reviews were lacking in the automotive sector and with the popularity of TripAdvisor and Amazon reviews this highlighted that online research was key for consumers before buying. The popularity of ‘someone-like-me’ reviews led us to utilise Reevoo on our site from 2012.

“Using Reevoo on the Kia UK website really showcases what our customers actually think. We have rolled this programme out not just to incorporate car reviews, but dealer and after-sales too. It’s also active internationally, not just the UK.

“Ninety-seven per cent of Kia customers would return to their Kia dealer which highlights not just how well our cars are doing but highlights the overall service that consumers can expect from Kia.”

With an average response publishing rate of 40%, Kia customers are commenting on the positives and the negatives of owning their vehicles, with Sportage being the most constantly rated model with a score of 9/10 from owners. The pro_cee’d, cee’d Sportswagon and Soul are also popular models with scores from 8.9/10 to 9.2/10.
