LUCY Blackmore from Mangotsfield in Bristol has this month (February, 2016) been appointed as our first full-time Showroom Host at our new purpose-built Nissan dealership at Cribbs Causeway.
In her new position, the 18-year-old will welcome customers into the dealership offering them refreshments and guiding them to a member of staff who can help with their enquiry.
Simon Newson, our General Manager at the dealership on Hayes Way, said: “I would like to welcome Lucy to the team. She is the first ever showroom host within the Wessex Garages group and has a very important role as she is the first point of contact for any of our customers who visit the dealership.
“Lucy is very welcoming and customers have already commented that they find it very helpful when they walk through our doors that Lucy is there to guide them to the car they are interested in or to the relevant department they need.
“Having Lucy as our Showroom Host is just one thing we have implemented at our new dealership to deliver our aim of being the best customer-focused dealership in the market sector.”
The new Nissan dealership spans more than 18,000 square feet and has created at least 40 new jobs. It is a huge investment for Wessex Garages as the whole project cost in the region of £5million.
Lucy said: “I am really enjoying my new role at Wessex Garages and being part of an enthusiastic team. I love meeting and greeting customers as they walk in to the new showroom and helping them in any way that I can.
“I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds within the company and I would like to thank Wessex Garages for this opportunity and welcoming me to the team.”
Lucy attended The Ridings’ Federation Winterbourne International Academy in Bristol and prior to her role at Wessex Garages she was a Trainee Hairdresser. In her spare time Lucy enjoys going to festivals and concerts.
