Our lucky 13 have pulled on their running shoes for charity

Hoping not to hit the wall this Sunday (March 8, 2015) are 13 team mates from our Hadfield Road dealership in Cardiff who are taking part in a 5K fun run in fancy dress for charity.

The keen runners have signed up for the George Thomas Hospice Care Charity 5K Fun Run, which will take place at Bute Park, dressed as the famous brainiac Albert Einstein

They have decided to run as the famous scientist and renowned genius as our company strapline is 'Wessex Garages – The Intelligent Choice', so it seemed very fitting.

The run will be a great team bonding event and we're also hoping to raise a lot of money for charity at the same time. George Thomas Hospice Care is such a vital lifeline for so many people and their families in the local area. The charity provides specialist home-based palliative care for people suffering from cancer and other life threatening illness .

It was established in 1984 and has helped more than 22,000 patients and their families in Cardiff. George Thomas Hospice Care is committed to personal dignity, quality of life and the highest possible standards of care and service.

Nicky Piper MBE, Corporate Fundraising & Events Manager for George Thomas Hospice Care, says: “We are thrilled that Wessex Garages has 13 people signed up to take part in our 5K run. We wish them all the best with their fundraising. "
