We are celebrating this month (November, 2014) after being granted planning permission for a third outlet in Bristol that will create 25 new jobs.
As you may know we already have two dealerships in the city and will open a third purpose-built, Nissan showroom in October, 2015 at Cribbs Causeway.
Keith Brock, our Managing Director, explained: “We are over the moon that our planning permission has finally been approved and we can now really get the ball rolling on the new project. It’s a massive investment for us as the whole project will cost in the region of £5million.
“Wessex Garages is firmly rooted in Bristol’s business community and this next stage in our development will enable us to have a much greater impact on the local economy with the creation of new jobs and money being put back into the community.
“The new Nissan dealership will be on Hayes Way at Cribbs Causeway, an area that is developing and it looks set to be an excellent retail location for us.”

The dealership will span just over 18,000 square feet and create at least 25 new jobs in addition to our existing Nissan business, which is situated on Pennywell Road.
Dave Murfitt, Director of Network Development and Quality for Nissan GB, said: “We have been working with Wessex Garages on this project for over three years and are delighted that it has now received planning approval.
“The Nissan brand is growing in the UK; we have virtually doubled sales and market share in the past four years and we need to maintain this growth.
“Building a showcase dealership in Cribbs Causeway, which will be run by Wessex Garages, our long term business partners in Bristol, will ensure that we will provide a great facility in the ideal location to fully meet the needs of current and future Nissan customers.”
The dealership will be a centre for electric vehicles and will be an additional charging point for the city.
Keith added: “We are really passionate about Bristol as it’s our home town. At a time when jobs are scarce, our new dealership will help to create some fantastic employment opportunities for people in the area.
“The entrance to the new site will be the gateway to a whole new development of around 2000 new homes with local amenities on what we know as the old Filton runway.
“We will be looking for some of the best people from the motor industry to join us and there will be a variety of positions available. Anyone who is interested in finding out more should email their CV to firstname.lastname@example.org.
“Another great bonus for us is that the location for the dealership is not part of the Bristol residents’ parking zones (RPZs) congestion scheme, which is good news for our future customers.”
