Staff collect bags of unwanted clothes in aid of charity

STAFF at our dealership on Feeder Road in Bristol have this month (June, 2015) donated bags of clothes to a charity in the city so it can raise funds.

The collection bags were given to St Peter’s Hospice and the contents will be sold in its shops.

Mark Hayward, our General Manager of the dealership , said: “In April this year we asked people to drop off any unwanted clothes in to a collection bin at our dealership. We’re very pleased that the bin is full already with 10 bags. We would like to thank our staff and customers for supporting the initiative.

“St Peter’s Hospice is our Charity of the Year so we are always looking for ways we can fundraise for them. We are aiming to raise more than £1,000 this year from the collection bin so we hope lots of people will help us to reach our target and drop more bags of goodies in to us.”

St Peter’s Hospice cares for adults with life-limiting illnesses. As Bristol’s only adult hospice, it cares for more than 2,670 patients each year as well as supporting family members.

All services are provided free of charge but this care costs around £18,630 a day. For around £14,000 of that, the hospice relies on the generosity of the local community and corporate support like this is vital.
