Staff at our Pennywell Road dealership in Bristol raised £166 for a children’s charity in the city last weekend (August 22 – 24, 2014) by hosting a Wallace and Gromit Weekend.
The outlet organised the event, which took place from August 22 until 24, in aid of Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal.
Adam Davis, our Digital Sales Executive at the dealership, said: “Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal is our Charity of the Year for 2014 so we wanted to host a weekend dedicated to the amazing work it does for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and Special Care Baby Unit.
“We would like to thank everyone who attended and donated money during the weekend. It is such a worthy charity, which helps so many babies and children.
“On Friday, August 22 we hosted a Wrong Trousers Day for staff and also a bake sale throughout the weekend. Members of the team baked a variety of cakes including cheesecake, which we heard Gromit loves, to sell to any visitors for £1 per slice.
“There was a colouring competition for children to take part in and a Wallace and Gromit quiz. The winners took home Wallace and Gromit merchandise.”
Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal was established in 1995 and has since raised more than £25 million to support a wide range of life-saving medical equipment, family accommodation, and patient comforts, along with a programme of arts, music, education and play facilities in the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
