Stephen raises £1,200 for Tŷ Hafan

We recently donated a free service voucher to Stephen Price from Ely in Cardiff, who is a volunteer for Hafan, for a raffle, auction and disco he was hosting in aid of the charity.

We’re delighted to announce that the event, which was held on Saturday, April 30 at Ely Conservative Club, managed to raise a staggering £1,200 for Hafan.

The charity is one of the UK’s leading paediatric palliative care charities, helping children and families throughout Wales.

Stephen’s daughter Katie died at the children’s hospice in Sully in 2011 and he is raising money in her memory.

Stephen told Wales Online “I didn’t even know about the hospice until someone told me we should take Katie there, but they were fantastic.

“Unfortunately, Katie passed away in my arms just half an hour after we took her into the hospice. But Hafan were incredible, not just for the short time they cared for Katie but with the whole family afterwards.”
