AN EMPLOYEE at our Gloucester dealership is celebrating this month (May, 2016) after clocking up 25 years of dedicated service to the business.
Steve Brinn, Sales Executive, who is the longest-serving member of the team at our Mercia Road dealership was recognised for his commitment to the company at a special presentation ceremony recently.
Paul Edwards, our General Manager at the dealership, explained: “We are extremely grateful for the dedication shown during the past 25 years by Steve, who is our longest-serving team member. I would like to thank him for the years of service he has given Wessex Garages and we look forward to many more years ahead.
“He is well-known by our customers and is an integral part of our team. Visitors to the car dealership rely on his experience, knowledge, help and advice when they are making decisions on buying a new or used car.
“We have presented Steve with a thank you card for his service to the company and also £100 of Tesco vouchers.”
Steve, who lives in Gloucester, started working for the company on April 27, 1991 originally at Wessex Garages in Hereford and then relocated to the Gloucester branch when it opened on Mercia Road in March 2007. Steve has continued in the role of a Sales Executive during his entire time at the company.
Steve said: “I can’t believe I have been with Wessex Garages for 25 years. The years have just flown by. It’s amazing how much the car industry has changed during my time in the sector. It is fantastic to see that we are now a dealership which sells electric cars.”
In his spare time Steve enjoys watching football and rugby. His dad is former Gloucester and England Rugby International player, Alan Brinn.
