TWO MEMBERSof staff at our Cribbs Causeway dealership in Bristol are this month (March, 2016) bracing themselves for a waxing to help raise money for a dance charity in the city.
Ollie Glossop and Mitch Clark, who both work at our new Nissan dealership on Hayes Way, are having their chests and stomachs waxed on Wednesday, March 23 in aid of Dance Voice.
Simon Newson, our General Manager of the new purpose-built dealership, said: “Our Apprentice Technician, Ollie and Parts Advisor, Mitch have volunteered to get their chests and stomachs waxed in aid of our Charity of the Year, Dance Voice, which is a Dance Movement Psychotherapy charity based in Bedminster.
“Ollie has also said he will get the front of his legs and arms waxed to raise even more money for the charity. Ugne Briedyte, who is our Data Administrator, will be doing the waxing free of charge as she took a body waxing course last year.
“Ollie and Mitch hope to raise at least £600 from the event and are seeking sponsorship from their colleagues and customers. Anyone who wishes to sponsor them can pop into our dealership or visit www.justgiving.com/wessex-wax/.”
Dance Voice is one of the UK’s leading centres dedicated to community-based creative arts therapy. It is also an established training centre for dance movement psychotherapists.
Dance Movement Psychotherapy is founded on the principle that movement reflects a person’s pattern of thinking and feeling. The process uses movement and dance to facilitate emotional, physical, social, mental and spiritual well-being. Dance Movement Psychotherapy is a recognised profession, regulated by a national body.
Ollie, who is 19-years-old from Bradley Stoke, said: “I am very much looking forward to being a part of the first fundraiser we have organised for the charity this year. It will be great to raise money for such a local worthy cause. I am not looking forward to the waxing itself so I really hope people dig deep and make it all worthwhile.”
The waxing event will take place at Wessex Garages on Hayes Way at Cribbs Causeway on Wednesday, March 23 at 5.30pm.
Mitch, who is 20-years-old from Emersons Green, said: “It’s good to be raising money for such a great cause and I will be putting my body on the line for it. I wanted to do something for Dance Voice after I saw first-hand what they do for people at the start of February when I visited the charity.”
