Wessex Garages, the New face for Mazda in Bristol!


Wessex Garages are proud to announce some exciting news taking place at our Pennywell Road site.

From the 1st of May we will be able to undertake Mazda servicing, warranty work, parts and a full range of aftersales facilities. The latest diagnostic equipment will also be on board so customers can enjoy quality and peace of mind when getting a service or MOT. We will be bringing with us some of the best staff around, both customer facing and workshop based, that have lengthy experience working with Mazda vehicles as well as other manufacturers.

Following the launch of Mazda aftersales on the 1st August 2017 we will be the only Authorised Mazda Retail Dealer in Bristol. We will be taking over all warranty work from existing Mazda dealers in Bristol, as they won't be any longer authorised or be able to undertake warranty work for Mazda. Until the 1st of August we will still look like a Nissan business, although some Mazda point of sale will be there to represent our new brand.

Our showroom in Pennywell Road in Bristol will be completely renovated in order to reflect Mazda's visual identity and will soon hold some of the most prestigious Mazda cars and used cars. We're absolutely thrilled with the proposed new look and hope our customers are going to love our transformation. The new showroom is going to be really stylish and feel much more modern. Customers will now be able to spend time in the dealership viewing our wide range of cars and experiencing the Mazda brand at their leisure. The fully refurbished and modernised dealership will be fully accredited for Motability sales and aftersales. This will provide customers with a choice of using either dealership for their dealings with us with great cars in our range.

The new showroom will be spacious, bright and stylish inside and out. It will create the perfect setting for exploring the array of gleaming new models. With a host of Approved Used Cars displayed outside, you’re sure to find more than you expected. The showroom will be undergoing reconstruction throughout 2017, and the team will be working tirelessly to continue the same, high-level of customer care. When the new showroom officially opens in August, we will be sure to invite our patient customers in to enjoy a completely new experience.

1. When is the new Mazda dealership in Bristol?

Pennywell Road will be a Mazda service centre from the 1st May. We will then open as a full Mazda retail dealer on the 1st August 2017 – details of which will follow later in the year.

2. What will happen to the Used Car Super Centre at Pennywell Road?

Our dealership at Pennywell Road will become a Mazda service​ and continue to be a Used Car and Van Centre along with a Nissan Authorised Service Centre until August when it will become a full Mazda retail centre. There will also be a dedicated Business Specialist on site that will be able to give expert advice to commercial customers based upon their specific needs.

3. I've always had my car serviced at Pennywell Road branch, can I still take my car there?

Yes you can - Nissan service and warranty work will continue at Pennywell Road. You will also have the option to take your car to the new dealership at Cribbs Causeway should this be more convenient for you.

4. Will there be any parking at the new dealership?

Yes, there will be a car park for sales, service and parts customers. There will also be electric charging bays for electric vehicle customers.

5. Will the new dealership sell used cars?

Yes, our branch in Pennywell Road in Bristol will still sell a variety of used vehicles from all manufacturers along with a full range of new Mazda.




6. Will there still be an electric charging point at Pennywell Road? Are they free of charge?

Yes, there will be electric charging points at both locations and they are completely free of charge for our electric vehicle customers.

7. Where do I buy Mazda Parts?

The Pennywell Road branch will stock a range of retail parts.

8. I am a business user and buy corporate vehicles. Where will I go to get them?

 Pennywell Road will continue to offer commercial and business customers a range of options and vehicles.

9. How will my experience differ at the Mazda Branch?

Wessex Mazda will provide the highest level of customer care. The new development will incorporate the new Mazda brand identity and as part of this it is designed to be more informal and consultative, overall providing an enhanced customer experience.
