Our Kia & Nissan dealership in Gloucester is looking to recruit a technician of Master Technician status. Whilst Nissan or Kia Master Technician status would be an advantage, Master Technicians from all other franchises are invited to apply.

As a Wessex Garages Master Vehicle Technician, you will receive full manufacturer training and support to progress your technical career.

It is vital that any suitable candidate is keen to achieve, maintain, and develop the necessary skill sets required by our highly successful aftersales department.

Key Objectives:

• To accurately and skilfully undertake the diagnosis and repair of motor vehicles in accordance with the brands technical standards and within the budgeted time
• To examine and diagnose non-routine defects, or additional faults either in the workshop or during road tests
• To achieve and maintain a high standard of technical knowledge and skill set for diagnosing and servicing vehicles
• To utilize the Company’s facilities and processes to maximise your productivity on vehicles
• Fulfil all tasks to the customer’s complete satisfaction – with a first-time fix
• Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer and industry guidelines
• Help retailer achieve industry-leading standards of process efficiency
• Attend regular training to update technical skills

Essential requirements:

• A full manual driving licence with no more than 6 points
• You must be able to evidence a valid Master Technician status/qualification with a Main Dealer – in addition to full Level 3 Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair credentials
• To fully maintain Master Technician status with Nissan via annual training and testing

Further Information:

• Full manufacturer training provided annually, all costs covered by Wessex Garages
• Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5.30pm with ½ hour lunch, plus 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, on rota, 8.30am to 12.30pm (paid as overtime)
• 30 days holiday per year (22 days + 8 statutory)
• Subsidised car option after successful completion of probation
• £32,000.00 basic per annum with opportunity for overtime and monthly bonus/commission scheme
