Reporting to the Service Manager and working alongside two other Service Advisors, in this role you will be responsible for providing a pro-active service to customers requesting to schedule their vehicles in for service, maintenance or repair work and arranging where necessary a courtesy vehicle. Service Advisors greet customers in to the Service Department, extensively liaise with the Workshop to chase work in progress, and keep customers informed of progress.
The successful candidate would ideally be able to deliver the very highest level of customer service through strong communication skills resulting in total customer satisfaction. Very strong organisational skills along with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and DMS systems (Pinewood Pinnacle DMS experience preferable) would be of high priority. You would be a valued member of a very experienced Service Department, responsible for booking work in and over-seeing vehicle repairs/servicing through the Workshop, while maintaining regular customer contact to update and book future work. Liaising with manufacturer to authorise warranty repairs, and a general knowledge of warranty procedures would also be advantageous but is not essential. Experience working as a Service Advisor within an automotive dealership or a very similar role would be essential at this stage.
