BRISTOL residents keen to go green can check out and test drive Nissan’s 100% electric car at an ultra-low emission motor show in the city this month (May, 2016).
We’ll be displaying a Nissan LEAF as part of the EVOLUTION Motor Show at the Millennium Square on Saturday, May 21.
Dale Richardson, Nissan Operations Director at our dealership on Hayes Way at Cribbs Causeway, said: “We’re really looking forward to attending the ultra-low emission motor show and meeting lots of people interested in helping the environment and perhaps toying with the idea of changing to an electric vehicle.
“We will be taking along a Nissan LEAF and also a e-NV200 electric van for people to see on the day and will be on hand to chat to visitors about their green benefits.
“This is the only motor show in the West Country where attendees can test drive vehicles so we’ll have two Nissan LEAFs for people to test drive throughout the day on a first come first serve basis.
“During the day we’re also hosting a competition to guess how many public electric charge points there are in Bristol. The person who guesses correctly will win a family day pass to Bristol Zoo.”
As part of the event Wessex Garages’ staff will be collecting donations for its Charity of the Year, Dance Voice, which is a Dance Movement Psychotherapy charity based in Bedminster.
Dale added: “The 100% electric Nissan LEAF, which is built in Sunderland, is the world’s most popular and successful electric vehicle to date. It is now available with a 30kW battery option, which would power around a 150 miles. This option also comes with an eight-year, 100,000 mile warranty.
“Nissan’s electric van is the e-NV200, which combines the NV200, a former International Van of the Year, with the proven technology of the record breaking LEAF. The e-NV200 has zero emissions and low running costs.”
The EVOLUTION Motor Show is free to attend and opens at 9.30am with the last test drives at 4pm.
The Nissan LEAF and e-NV200 will be on display at EVOLUTION Motor Show on Saturday, May 21 from 9.30am until 4pm.
