Wessex Mazda has officially opened the doors of its new showroom, at our newly refurbished Pennywell Road site in Bristol. The dealership’s showroom reflects Mazda’s latest brand identity and provides customers across the region with greater access to the full range of Mazda models.
To celebrate the launch of Mazda at
Wessex, Wessex Mazda has turned its showroom into a festive wonderland over the
Christmas and New Year period. Motorists are invited to visit the new showroom
to donate presents and raise money for
The Centre for Adoption Support and
, a local charity supporting children throughout the adoption process
having previously experienced abuse or neglect.
Up to Wednesday 31 January, Wessex Mazda’s Pennywell Road showroom will serve as a drop-off point for donations, to be collected in ‘Santa’s sleigh’ – an all-new Mazda 3 – and delivered by the dealership’s ‘elves’. There will be a prize for the best donation, chosen by Wessex Mazda at the beginning of February. The generous customer with the best donation will win a family day pass to Bristol Zoo, for two adults and two children.
The dealership welcomes donations of art supplies, children’s books and toys, including dolls, games for children aged 5-15, soft play items, fancy dress costumes and children’s board games. The art supplies can include glitter, coloured paper and pencils.
Ben Locke, Wessex Mazda Dealer Principal said, “We’re looking forward to engaging with the local community and celebrating the launch of our new dealership with them. I’m proud that the team here at Wessex Mazda is helping to spread the joy of Christmas to local children over the festive period. We would urge everyone to donate what they can for this incredibly worthy cause, and help us fill our Mazda ‘sleigh’ with gifts in support of The Centre for Adoption Support and Education.”
Over 4,000 children are adopted every year in the UK. Of these, more than 70% will have experienced abuse or neglect in their lives. Based in Bristol, The Centre for Adoption Support and Education provides support to these children and their families after they have been adopted. The centre provides a range of activities including toddler’s groups, after-school clubs, activities for adopted young adults, and groups for parents to help them thrive after the adoption process. The charity relies on voluntary donations and support to run these activities and groups.
The Christmas Gift drop-off point is now open at the Wessex Mazda showroom on Pennywell Road and runs until the end of January 2018. The Centre for Adoption Support and Education will collect the gifts in early February and they will be used during the centre’s activities. The centre has been named as Wessex Mazda’s charity of the year for 2018.
