An exciting opportunity for an individual with automotive management experience to join our team at our Mazda branch in Bristol has arisen.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced General Sales Manager to join Wessex Garages and lead our sales team at our Mazda dealership in Bristol. This role will see you use your sales management experience to lead the team in providing a high quality service for our customers. Reporting to the Sales Director, this role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, and offers the opportunity to join a leading automotive retail group.

Responsibilities of this General Sales Manager role include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with the senior management team; you will manage the Car Sales Executive team to a strong sales performance on a monthly basis. Driving vehicle sales in the department through processes and training the team to work in a professional manner.
  • Making sure the Car Sales team offer strong customer service, working with the team to maximise sales while promoting a strong profit per unit and working closely with the finance team to secure the best deal for the customer
  • Controlling the used car stock to make sure you have the right vehicles for your market area
  • Making sure all online adverts are completed to company & manufacturer guidelines.

Requirements of this General Sales Manager role:

  • - Its essential you have experience as a Sales Manager within the motor trade.
  • Train and coach to ensure each team member is performing to their maximum
  • Achieve both budget and growth for Unit Volume, Chassis Profit, F&I Penetration and Products Up-sell.
  • Ensure excellence in customer service delivery, maintaining high satisfaction levels at or above the required standards
  • Nurture interdepartmental and management relationships to achieve departmental cohesion
  • Manage the mix and specification of new products based on sales trends and the local market
  • Represent the department in on/off-site meetings
  • Support, guide and control your management colleagues to lead their respective teams in a motivational manner, producing successful results in all essential KPi’s
