A class 4 MOT is the most common MOT test required on all passenger cars over 3 years old and must be carried out annually. Wessex Garages can undertake your MOT for only £39.99 if you book online.

An MOT at Wessex Garages takes 45 minutes, but it could take up to an hour and a half in case any minor repair is needed and for all the paperwork to be completed by our service team. MOT tests can be carried out up to 28 days in advance; this allows you to schedule your MOT on a day that best suits.

MOT Retest Policy

Taking it back for a retest within 10 working days

You only need a partial retest if you leave the vehicle at the Wessex Garages test centre for repair and it’s retested within 10 working days. There’s no fee for this.

You only need a partial retest if you take the vehicle from the Wessex Garages test centre for repairs and take it back within 10 working days. You can be charged a partial retest fee for this.

You can take your vehicle away from Wessex Garages if your MOT certificate is still valid.

If your MOT has run out you can take your vehicle to:

- have the failed defects fixed
- a pre-arranged MOT test appointment

In both cases, your vehicle still needs to meet the minimum standards of roadworthiness at all times or you can be fined. In all other cases, you’ll need to get a full retest and pay the full MOT test fee again.
