The Fiat Panda is a practical and popular compact vehicle designed for city travel, capable of mastering whatever road it sets out upon. Four levels of trim are available in the Panda line: the Pop, Easy, Lounge and Trekking models. Fiat has installed the interior of each Panda model with a number of high-quality features to make every journey comfortable.
Fiat has taken an unconventional direction towards the Panda's design, through the philosophy of the word 'squircle'. This, as Fiat defines it, is "a square with rounded edges", and it forms the key element of the Panda's design framework. This gives the Panda a softer look overall, enhancing its reliable nature while increasing its attractive profile. As well as adding an enjoyable visual experience, the 'squircle' philosophy also has practical applications: the rounded edges reduce wind resistance, and increase the agility and handling of the vehicle.
Inside, a stand-out feature of the Panda is the level of storage solutions that are provided. Fiat has installed 14 storage compartments within the cabin, a large pouch on the dashboard and a spacious shelf at the rear of the vehicle. There is also the option of Fiat's 'Comfort Pack', which adds extras such as a space above the driver's seat where sunglasses may be kept.
Fiat has put an emphasis on safety with the Panda, with a comprehensive airbag suite included as standard, with the option to install up to six airbags if desired. ISOFIX child seat attachments are included, as is Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which works towards maintaining vehicle traction during all drive situations.
Three different engines are available to power the Panda, ranging from 1.2 to 1.3-litre capacity models. These utilise technology such as TwinAir and MultiJet for the diesel engines, and have CO2 emissions of just 95g/km. Start/stop technology is also included to reduce overall fuel consumption.
