The Nissan GT-R is a unique vehicle that embodies the full potential of Nissan's racing heritage. As the latest in the line of sports vehicles from the company, the GT-R upholds a proud history that stretches back to the very first vehicle in the range, which was produced in 1969.
Acting as the flagship vehicle for Nissan's sports achievements, the GT-R brings speed and performance as well as comfort and technology to the road-user.
To look at the GT-R, you could never mistake it for anything other than a speed-focused performance vehicle. The shape of the vehicle and the angles it has been given show off the aerodynamic body pose, while Nissan has added features such as newly-developed front and rear lights, and wide-beam Xenon headlights. Other highlights that catch the eye include flush-mounted aluminium door handles and the body-coloured rear spoiler with integrated centre high-mounted stop light. This overall look is enhanced at the rear by the quad exhaust exit pipes, which feature chrome-tip finishers.
Inside, motorists can customise the upholstery in Premium Red Leather, Premium Ivory Leather, Premium Black Leather and Recaro. Nissan has imbued the GT-R with the fruits of its research, and reduced noise and vibration within the cabin for a truly smooth drive experience. Nissan's HDD Music Box System is installed for multimedia purposes, and includes a 30Gb hard drive. A USB port is also included, to which users can attach compatible devices if desired
The GT-R is powered by a six-cylinder 523bhp V6 twin turbo petrol engine. This allows for top speeds of 196mph, and enables 0-60mph in under three seconds. Combined fuel consumption is 23.9mpg, and CO2 emissions are at 275g/km.
Nissan has installed its Advanced Airbag System with dual-stage front driver and passenger airbags within the GT-R, for full protection at all times. Additionally, front and rear crumple zones on the exterior help to protect pedestrians outside of the vehicle in the unlikely event of a collision situation.
