The third-generation Kia Picanto is a compact city car with a difference. The all-new Picanto features new sophisticated styling both inside and out, with more space than its predecessor and a new level of comfort for you and your passengers. Kia’s supermini is packed with features, making it a firm favourite in its class, competing against the likes of the Hyundai i10 and the Volkswagen Up! The Picanto has low running costs and very competitive pricing, and as with all new Kia cars, it is backed by Kia’s seven-year/100,000 miles warranty for complete peace of mind.
The Picanto’s new lookChoose Trim Level 1,2 or 3 or from the GT-LineThe Picanto makes a big style statement with its strong body contours, curving at the sides to create bold lines above the wheels. At the front Kia’s signature mesh grille with logo sits between the distinctive front lights. There are seven stylish colours to choose from, including a dynamic Chilli Red and a vibrant Pop Orange.
Trim levels are simply named 1, 2 and 3, followed by the GT-Line and the range-topping GT-Line S. GT editions feature red trims on the grille, bumper, and at the side, with co-ordinating red highlights inside the cabin.
Trim 2 has 14-inch alloy wheels and body-coloured door handles and door mirror surrounds.
Upgrade to the Picanto 3 and you will get 15-inch alloys, chrome door handles, front fog lights and folding door mirrors with LED indicators, while GT editions feature sportier bumpers, 16-inch alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights. Now constructed on a longer wheelbase, the new Picanto is larger than the second generation model, offering greater comfort for up to five adults, with five doors allowing easy access to the rear.
Step InsideSpacious Interior The Picanto may be the smallest vehicle in the Kia line-up, but you will be pleasantly surprised by the bright, spacious feel of the cabin, which affords ample headroom and legroom. You won’t be short of luggage space either, thanks to the generous 255-litre boot capacity, one of the biggest in its class. If you need to stow bulky items, the storage space can be expanded by folding down the 60:40 split rear seats.
Manual air conditioning is fitted on the Picanto 2 and GT-Line, while the Picanto 3 and GT-Line S get an automatic version so you’ll always be at a comfortable temperature. All models have electric windows in the front, and all except the entry level 1 also have rear electric windows. A leather trimmed steering wheel and gear knob are provided in the Picanto 2 and above, while the GT-Line S has the added luxury of a heated steering wheel and heated front seats – perfect for those chilly winter mornings. Welcome and follow me home lighting is fitted on all models for your convenience.
