The third-generation Kia Picanto is a compact city car with a difference. The Picanto’s new lookChoose Trim Level 1,2 or 3 or from the GT-LineThe Picanto makes a big style statement with its strong body contours, curving at the sides to create bold lines above the wheels. At the front Kia’s signature mesh grille with logo sits between the distinctive front lights. There are seven stylish colours to choose from, including a dynamic Chilli Red and a vibrant Pop Orange.
Trim levels are simply named 1, 2 and 3, followed by the GT-Line and the range-topping GT-Line S. GT editions feature red trims on the grille, bumper, and at the side, with co-ordinating red highlights inside the cabin.
Trim 2 has 14-inch alloy wheels and body-coloured door handles and door mirror surrounds.
Upgrade to the Picanto 3 and you will get 15-inch alloys, chrome door handles, front fog lights and folding door mirrors with LED indicators, while GT editions feature sportier bumpers, 16-inch alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights. Now constructed on a longer wheelbase, the new Picanto is larger than the second generation model, offering greater comfort for up to five adults, with five doors allowing easy access to the rear.
Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Measuring sidewall stiffness and wheel radius, TPMS alerts you when a tyre needs pressure adjustment, by displaying the information on the cluster screen.

Step InsideSpacious Interior The Picanto may be the smallest vehicle in the Kia line-up, but you will be pleasantly surprised by the bright, spacious feel of the cabin, which affords ample headroom and legroom. You won’t be short of luggage space either, thanks to the generous 255-litre boot capacity, one of the biggest in its class. If you need to stow bulky items, the storage space can be expanded by folding down the 60:40 split rear seats.
Manual air conditioning is fitted on the Picanto 2 and GT-Line, while the Picanto 3 and GT-Line S get an automatic version so you’ll always be at a comfortable temperature. All models have electric windows in the front, and all except the entry level 1 also have rear electric windows. Engine ChoicesUp to 64.2 MPGYou can choose from a 1.0-litre three cylinder 66bhp manual petrol engine, and a 1.25-litre four cylinder 83bhp petrol engine, which is available with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is as high as 64.2mpg, while CO2 emissions are just 101g/km for the 1.0-litre edition.
The fastest of the engines is the 1.25-litre manual edition which accelerates from 0-60mph in just under 12 seconds and has a top speed of 107mph.
Music to your earsTouchscreen audioThe Picanto 3 and GT-Line S editions are fitted with a seven-inch multimedia screen, giving you all the infotainment features you need at your fingertips. DAB radio, Bluetooth music streaming functionality and Bluetooth voice recognition capability are featured in the infotainment package, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also available. The Kia Connected service with TomTom satellite navigation feature means you can easily find the optimal route to any destination.
Other trim levels are fitted with an audio system with the number of speakers varying according to the model. Steering wheel mounted controls and Bluetooth music streaming capability are included on trim 2 and above. USB and Aux ports are provided as standard across the range.
Journey-enhancing technologyPacked full of technologyRear-parking sensors and a rear-parking camera are fitted on the Picanto 3 and GT editions, for easier and safer manoeuvring into small spaces. Automatic headlight control is fitted as standard across the range, together with a headlight levelling mechanism, and all models benefit from daytime running lights. All models have an outside temperature display, which can be particularly helpful as a reminder of potentially hazardous road conditions in wintertime. Remote central locking is fitted as standard, with a foldaway key, or opt for the GT-Line S edition and you get a keyless entry and start system. This model also gives you the added luxury of a wireless phone charger.
Prioritising your safetyUncompromised Safety Credentials The new Kia Picanto has an array of features designed to keep you and your passengers safe. All models are fitted with ABS with electronic brake distribution, a set of six airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Younger passengers travel in safety thanks to rear child safety door locks, ISOFIX child seat fixings and a seatbelt reminder warning. The Picanto 3 and GT-Line models are also fitted with a speed-sensing auto-door-locking system. Cruise control and a speed limiter function are included on the Picanto 3 and GT Line S.
Specialist safety features include an autonomous emergency braking system which is fitted as standard on the Picanto 3 and above, or available as an additional option on the Picanto 1 and 2 trims. All models also include a side impact protection system, as well as impact-sensing auto-door-locking functionality, which is activated for your safety in the event of a collision.
