Precision and agility

This blueprint for sustainable production underscores Nissan’s commitment to decarbonisation, green skills, and localised supply chains – shaping a cleaner, more resilient future for mobility.

At the heart of new LEAF’s production is Nissan’s CMF-EV platform (Common Modular Family for EV) – a flexible, efficient architecture that enables Nissan to build diverse EV models on a shared foundation. This platform delivers manufacturing precision and agility throughout the production process.

As part of Nissan’s global EV strategy, production of the all-new LEAF at Sunderland reaffirms the company’s long-term investment in electrification and its role in accelerating the shift to cleaner transport, delivering vehicles that embody both innovation and environmental responsibility.
