About the role
We are recruiting a Trainee Car Sales Advisor to join our small and highly knowledgeable team at our Mazda dealership on Pennywell Road in Bristol. This role is perfect for anyone from retail, hospitality, customer service, or other people-focused backgrounds who wants to start a career in automotive sales. You’ll receive structured training and day-to-day mentoring to build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.
We anticipate that our Mazda operations will relocate in October 2026. At that stage, you will have the opportunity to continue your career within the business at our Cribbs Causeway sites: either our Mazda and Nissan dealership or at our brand-new Kia dealership, currently under construction. This means you’re not just applying for a job, but starting a career with long-term prospects and development.
In this role, you will support our customers through every step of their buying journey—from their first interaction with us to the moment they drive away in their new car. You’ll learn to engage with customers, identify their needs, and sell vehicles and related products in line with industry standards. You will not only be responsible for selling vehicles, but will be selling and promoting Finance, Insurance products and Paint Protection.
Person Specification
Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, so we’re looking for someone with a passion for delivering excellent customer service. While previous sales experience is not essential, we are seeking a positive, motivated person who is ready to achieve and grow in a results-driven environment.
You will be organised, able to process detailed information, and committed to continually developing your product knowledge. With a strong work ethic and an inspiring attitude, you will take ownership of your work and contribute to the success of your team. You’ll also inspire your colleagues to reach their full potential, helping to drive sales in your dealership.
Key Information
- Working Pattern: 40 hours a week across Mon – Sat (with a 1 hour lunch). Day off in lieu during the week and 1 late shift per week. Sunday working required during March and September
