THE SERVICE Manager at one of our dealerships in Cardiff took part in a charity golf day last Thursday (May 19, 2016) and his team managed to take second place.
Steve Grinter, who works at our dealership on Hadfield Road, entered the competition at Whitchurch Golf Club to raise money for George Thomas Hospice Care, which is the dealership’s chosen Charity of the Year.
Steve explained: “We had a fantastic time at the fundraiser. As well as the golf competition we also enjoyed a two-course meal and entertainment in the club house.
“I entered the competition as part of a team called the Caddyshacks and my fellow team members were Sean Davies, Director at Davies Motor Company, Mike Chick, Sales Manager at Pro-copy and Justin Belle, Director at Lonsdale Contracts.
“As we came second place in the competition due to the points we scored it puts us in a very strong position for the Aggregate Team Cup at the next golf day in October.”
The Aggregate Team Cup and the Wessex Aggregate Individual Cup is awarded to the team and individual who scores the most points in George Thomas Hospice Care’s two golf days. The second being in October at the Vale National Golf Club.
George Thomas Hospice Care is Hadfield Road’s chosen Charity of the Year. It was established in 1984 and has helped more than 24,000 patients and their families in Cardiff. It is committed to personal dignity, quality of life and the highest possible standards of care and service.
