Free four-day Cribbs Causeway Festival a success

We would like to thank everyone who popped to our free four-day motoring festival last weekend (July 7 – 10, 2016) at our Cribbs Causeway dealership in aid of one of our charities of the year.

The festival included a Motability Awareness Day, a Business Breakfast Morning, a Summer Party and a Nissan Go Electric Day and took place from July 7 until 10 at our Nissan brand centre on Hayes Way.

Simon Newson, our General Manager at the dealership, said: “We were very excited about our first summer festival. It was a great event and there were lots of things going on throughout the four days.

“During the festival we also collected donations for our Charity of the Year, Dance Voice in Bedminster, which is one of the UK’s leading centres dedicated to community-based creative arts therapy.

“On Thursday, July 7 we hosted a Motability Awareness Day. Our Motability specialists were on hand throughout the day, there was a bingo quiz to take part in as well as complimentary cake, tea and coffee to enjoy. We also gave away free Wessex gift-bags, which included pens, tyre tread checker, air fresheners, key rings and balloons.

“The next event as part of our festival was our Business Breakfast Morning from 9.30am until 12noon on Friday, July 8. Attendees received a free sausage or bacon bap and our Fleet specialists were available to speak to people during the event to advise how we could help with their business transport needs. Free Wessex gift-bags were also handed out.

“The main attraction for the weekend was our Summer Party, which took place on Saturday, July 9. It was fun for all the family. There was a free barbecue from 12noon until 4pm, games including Scalextric Power laps, a putting green for all keen golfers, snakes and ladders and a Pulsar Selfie Competition. Free soft drinks were on offer all day and attendees got to take home a free Wessex gift-bag.”

On Sunday, July 10 the dealership hosted a Nissan Go Electric Day. Electric vehicle specialists were on hand to answer any questions people had about switching to an electric mode of transport such as the 100% electric Nissan LEAF, which is the world’s most popular and successful electric vehicle to date.

Attendees were also able to have a go at a cost comparison challenge on the Nissan electric vehicle App and try out the interactive ZapMap, which enables drivers to locate and navigate to charging points across the UK.
