Since the Kia Ceed went on sale back in 2006, over a million models have been sold. Now, the All-new Kia ceed showcases the finest design that the marque has to offer – so small families don’t need to compromise on style or practicality.
Across the line-up, the five-door hatchback body style features an eye-catching silhouette, with a bold front grille for head-on appeal. In addition to flowing lines, a range of sporty paint colours are on offer, including Track Red (standard) and Phantom Black (premium).
On board, the smooth dashboard and chrome highlights around the instruments reflect the model’s modern look. There’s ample room in the rear for even tall adults to ride in comfort, plus plenty of useful storage spaces – from an air-conditioned glovebox to a phone slot under the armrest.
Six trims are available: First Edition, 2. Blue Edition, 3. Bold LED daytime running lights, projection headlights and USB ports come as standard – while the upgraded 2 comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, seven-inch touchscreen, and sleek, black upholstery. 3 will bring you cool rear privacy glass, and next level 4 boasts sharp, black leather seats and an elegant panoramic sunroof. Range-topping GT-Line models get a different body kit and bigger wheels for an extra energetic touch.
Improvements in engine refinement make your ride more enjoyable than ever – there are fewer vibrations in the cabin, so you can experience a quiet cruise. Across the line-up you will find air conditioning for complete comfort in all climates, as well as Bluetooth to keep you connected on the go. Meanwhile, the hatchback boot lid makes the cee’d’s 380-litre boot easy to load – while the 60:40 split-rear seats fold to increase capacity to 1,318 litres.
For the latest generation, a new petrol engine has been added to the range: a super-efficient 1.0-litre, three-cylinder powertrain. It comes in 98 and 118hp outputs, returning up to 74.3 mpg. A more powerful 1.4-litre unit is also available, with a turbocharger for an extra boost – hitting 60 mph in around 11 seconds. The most powerful engine is the 138hp, 1.4-litre turbo fitted to the Blue Edition model – with a 0 to 60 mph time of 8.7 seconds.
The new Kia Ceed also impresses in terms of safety with the maximum five-star Euro NCAP rating. As standard, it features six airbags for your protection, electronic stability control to keep you steady and hill-start assist to make it easier to get going when you park on an incline. 4 trims and up come with an electronic parking brake for enhanced security.
